Digital Communication Coordinator



The Center for Philosophy of Science promotes excellence in the field by fostering innovative research, scholarly exchange, and education through conferences, fellowships, and partnerships worldwide.

The Digital Communication Coordinator develops and executes digital strategies to promote the organization’s mission and programs through social media, and content creation. The successful candidate should possess the following:

  • Moderate proficiency in computer systems and digital tools.
  • Social media experience, including content creation and audience engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple media platforms effectively.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is preferred but not required.

This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a passion for digital communication and a commitment to promoting the organization's mission.


Job Summary

Performs administrative assistant support work of moderate complexity.


Essential Functions
  • Manage the organization's social media accounts, including weekly and monthly newsletters

  • Create multimedia content for distribution across the organization's digital platforms.

  • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency in messaging and branding across all platforms.
  • Monitor the organization's website, ensuring it remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Respond to inquiries and comments on the organization's digital platforms promptly and professionally.
  • Provides technical support for weekly talks and conferences.


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
