Overview

Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor at our facility in Ashland, VA.  In this position, you would be a key part of the Shading Solutions manufacturing team. A successful Production Supervisor will be interested in manufacturing, technology, have a high standard of performance and quality, and enjoy leading teams.  Production Supervisors are responsible for the daily manufacturing output of production teams and the development of team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams to follow detailed work instructions to safely build and package quality products 

  • Lead teams to assemble custom products to meet the needs of our worldwide customers

  • Design and implement lean manufacturing strategies to reduce waste and streamline workflows. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve plant layout and material flows

  • Work in our inventory management system to manage materials transactions

  • Manage the upkeep and maintenance of all production equipment and facilities during the shift

  • Work through Production Leads and our supply chain and distribution teams to complete customer orders

  • Support technology integration projects and ensure upkeep and maintenance of production equipment. 
  • Develop team members and production Leads in their skills and career growth

Qualifications



  • Ability to work 2nd shift production schedule (2nd shift is Mon-Fri from 2:00pm to 10:30pm)
  • Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of a cumulative GPA of a 3.0. Degree in engineering or operations preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Suite
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. 
  • Proven problem-solving ability
