Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, must be able to perform massage in 90 minute sessions or less.

Job Summary
The massage therapist/UKHC conducts brief assessments of all new massage therapy clients and documents findings. Provides safe, effective, and appropriate massage services to clients based on individual and health-related needs. Perform health history and updates prior to each session. Ascertain precautions/contraindications for massage prior to each session. Explains procedures and applies techniques appropriate to clients’ needs and preferences. Develop a massage therapy program for growth.
Perform all duties in a manner that reflects UK Healthcare’s mission and values.
This position reports to the Massage Therapy Coordinator at IMH.

Graduate of an accredited massage therapy training program, experience and certifications in additional Integrative Medicine modalities such as Massage Therapy, Reiki, Reflexology, etc. are preferred.Training in Hospital-Based Massage Therapy plus 5 years’ of experience preferred.
