Description

The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for an IT Manager supporting the HEITS Contract as part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Special Access Program Central Office (SAPCO). This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a team of engineers and security managers to help expand, evolve, enhance, secure, and safeguard the SAPCO baseline for all SAP mission. The SAPCO mission provides a unified and centralized set of IT infrastructure and resources for DHS projects whereby a specific class of classified information associated with these efforts exceed the access requirements normally required for FOUO, SECRET, or TS/SCI systems.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead the SAPCO team and ensure that all personnel are fulfilling customer and program objectives.

  • Support all staff management activities inclusive of recruiting, hiring, performance evaluating, and directing personnel.

  • Support training efforts to help team members learn the technology and mission domain.

  • Support all documentation to effectively capture the configuration baseline.

  • Engage with the customer to identify requirements and ensure team alignment to government directed activities.

  • Build partnership with senior government leaders to ensure full compliance with all SAPCO objectives.

  • Help the customer identify optimize the SAPCO baseline to enhance system functionality.

  • Report through Leidos leadership on metrics, status, and SAPCO activities.

  • Ensure proper escalation of issues to Leidos leadership and partner with other teams on the HEITS program to ensure resources are available to fulfill mission requirements.  

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and (8)+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with (6)+ years of prior relevant experience 

  • Prior leadership responsibilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

  • Experienced and adept at developing and maintaining documents, analyses, and reports

  • Experienced with preparing and presenting briefings to senior customer management, and customer stakeholders

  • Working knowledge of Enterprise IT systems like Microsoft Windows, Palo Alto Firewall VPNs, Networking, SharePoint, SQL Server, and security tools like Nessus.

  • Active Top Secret government security clearance; ability to obtain DHS EOD SCI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in IT Management, Engineering, or related field 

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in IT service delivery management 

  • DHS Experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
