Description
Leidos Beavercreek is seeking a part-time Cybersecurity Intern (entry level) to join our Beavercreek Ohio, Pentagon Blvd. office starting this fall. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL) Sensors Directorate, Rapid Technology Development & Demonstrations (RTD2) program perform research and development in the areas of open systems architecture (OSA) and rapid integration and demonstration of ISR technologies. In support of this multi-year high visibility program, your position as a Cybersecurity Intern will be to support USAF programs at Wright Patterson Air Force Base through a combination of laboratory, ground, and flight testing, ensuring system readiness and operation through implementation of security controls and adherence to cybersecurity policies.
Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain mission-critical software in support of national defense, and intelligence gathering products for both systems both airborne and ground based systems
Participate in laboratory, ground and flight testing to validate software
Document and communicate proposed cybersecurity solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment
Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art cybersecurity techniques and implementation technologies
Participate in cybersecurity reviews to ensure delivery of quality, secure, resilient products
Basic Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity / IT Administration, or similarly relevant technical discipline
This internship position is onsite at our Beavercreek Ohio office - applicant/candidate is expected to work daily in our facility
Interpersonal and communication skills
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance with Leidos
Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD Secret (or higher) Clearance
Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, virtual machines, and containerization
Familiarization with imaging and configuring standard desktops, troubleshooting user issues with hardware and software, ensuring compliance with software and security requirements
