Position Summary 

Supervises employees in the Production Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to, the following: 

  • Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions
  • Trains, documents, and supports employees. 
  • Assigns duties
  • Monitors attendance and work performance.
  • Coordinates manpower requirements by decreasing/increasing personnel
  • Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
  • Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing
    products.
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets
    specifications.
  • Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to
    ensure compliance with standards.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Applicants must possess any education, training or experience necessary to perform all essential duties and responsibilities associated with the position. Education, training and experience indicative of an individual’s ability to perform all essential job duties and responsibilities include the following: 

  • Basic computer skills, including MRP
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to train and support co-workers in the work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to assess and priorities manufacturing activities
  • Comprehension of MRP and Scheduling
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation, including but not limited to personal and professional financial history, nationwide criminal record search, credit check, and other relevant background information deemed necessary by WDC. 

Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

Prior knowledge or experience working with a Native American Tribe.
