Summary

The Senior Systems Analyst supports the implementation, maintenance, and integration of warehousing, logistics, and supply chain applications at headquarters. Key responsibilities include collaborating with IT and business departments, learning and supporting order management and warehouse systems, integrating transportation solutions, troubleshooting on AS/400, configuring systems, participating in project rollouts and training, and documenting and resolving user requirements and issues.

      

  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn the current Order Management system to support integration with that system.
  • Become proficient with the Manhattan Warehouse Management System and software suite.
  • Support integration with the transportation systems (Oracle Transportation Management and Omnitracs)
  • Learn basic AS/400 commands to do troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Work with the development team to efficiently configure, install, support, and maintain Supply Chain Systems including but not limited to PkMS, Order Management, Oracle Transportation Management and Omnitracs.
  • Participate in site planning, testing, mock go live exercises, conversion and go live activities as needed for new project implementations.
  • Participate in the development of training documentation, and delivery of training for multiple applications.
  • Work with users to identify business requirements for system enhancements.  Document business requirements, participate in design process and testing of system enhancements.
  • Work with users to resolve issues and answer questions regarding systems and standard operating procedures.
  • Work with network and systems administrators to troubleshoot, monitor, and address problems.
  • Manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
  • Prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Assist with tracking financial benefits associated with IT projects
  • Serve the role of liaison between the customer group and the corporate Logistics to facilitate an effective working partnership during projects
  • Design models for use in evaluating programs or services
  • Write queries and/or reports and perform data analysis.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

Professional certifications are a plus but not required.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • A 4 year degree in technical field or related studies.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in analyzing business processes and implementing technical solutions.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience developing and executing test scripts.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in technical issue resolution and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in system integration.
  • Knowledge of and aptitude for computers required.
  • Knowledge of SQL or other query languages required.
  • Experience with automated warehouse management systems a plus.  
  • Knowledge of and aptitude for computers and computer systems.
  • Exposure/experience to managing teams in an IT project environment.
  • Experience with wholesale distribution or logistics industries is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

 

 

Math Ability: 

 

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.  Understanding basic algebra.

 

 

Reasoning Ability: 

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Ability to organize and prioritize.
