Bestica is hiring an Anesthesiology Physician to provide services at the US Department of Veteran Affairs located in Harry S. Truman Memorial VAMC 800 Hospital Drive, Columbia MO 65201

Location: Harry S. Truman Memorial VAMC 800 Hospital Drive, Columbia MO 65201

Shifts: 0700 to 1630. Monday through Friday (Will be determined after selection)


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia when services are performed onsite on VA property.
  • Contractor’s physician(s) shall be Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency
  • Assessment of, consultation for, and preparation of patients for anesthesia including
  • permeance of history and physical exams
  • Medical management of patients during peri-operative period who are under physical and emotional distress
  • Management of post anesthetic recovery including procedural pain
  • Supervise and administer general anesthesia
  • Supervise and administer regional anesthesia
  • Anesthesia for cardiac operations utilizing cardiopulmonary bypass
  • Ventilator management
  • Metabolic/hemodynamic management
  • Monitored anesthesia care MAC
  • Moderate sedation
  • NORAM
  • Diagnostic therapeutic blocks
  • Intraoperative TEE
  • Non-invasive cardiovascular evaluation, including electrocardiography
