The CPS Sales & Services Coordinator is responsible for supporting Sales & Operations for our Colonial Packaging Services (CPS) customers. This role requires meticulous organization, data proficiency, and the ability to nurture both internal and external relationships. The key responsibilities include the management of inventory, shipping/logistics coordination and customer follow-up while preparing quotes, tracking sales opportunities, and contributing to revenue goals.

JOB EXPECTATIONS/DUTIES

Operational Coordination (Services)

  • Coordinate inbound/outbound inventory through ERP platforms (JDE/E1).
  • Implement CPS customer-specific shipping, receiving, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Manage transactional discrepancies and vendor-related issues (production, billing, shipping).
  • Generate operational reports and analyze logistics costs.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at cost savings and process efficiency.

Sales Support & Customer Engagement

  • Qualify leads, respond to inquiries, and support outreach via phone, email, and meetings.
  • Prepare and present packaging quotes, proposals, and delivery schedules.
  • Process orders and collaborate with finance, logistics, and production to close sales.
  • Maintain CRM ensuring timely follow-up and accurate pipeline tracking.
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities (e.g., additional packaging materials or services).
  • Support sales forecasting and tracking to meet monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Coordinate internal kick-off meetings for new customer engagements or product rollouts.
  • Travel domestically (up to 10%) for customer visits, trade shows, or sales events.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement

  • Serve as liaison between sales, operations, finance, and customer service.
  • Gather client feedback and work with internal teams to customize solutions.
  • Contribute to process enhancements based on service and sales data insights.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree (Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, other) or ?3 years in logistics, operations, or sales is preferred.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials.
  • ERP (E1/SAP) and CRM (Salesforce preferred) proficiency.
  • Demonstrated track record in sales support, quoting, and order processing.
  • Strong capabilities in Excel, Word, CRM tools, and email communications.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to turn data into actionable tasks.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
