Position: Applications Engineer II 
Location: Headquarters – Moon Township, PA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Mondays - Fridays, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Travel: Approximately 10-20% of the time will be spent traveling to client/prospect locations to conduct technical sales presentations/provide technical training or conduct field trials.



The Applications Engineer II will support the sale of carbon, equipment and service in the North American Municipal Market. This will be accomplished by interfacing with numerous departments in CCC, assisting in presentations to customers and providing technical support to the assigned TSRs in the group.
 
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Provides technical presentations/trainings to clients and engineering consults.
  • Acts as technical support and back-up contact related to specific projects for Sales team. Serves as liaison between Sales team and the internal support teams including Product and Project Management.
  • Use CCC’s computer design programs to predict the performance of activated carbon in liquid and vapor applications.
  • Interpret data from lab and field trials for both pilot and full-scale systems to provide technical design and operational recommendations.
  • Set-up and monitor pilot trials in the field to provide design information for future full-scale systems.
  • Attends technical conferences, and trade shows to gain technical knowledge and represent Calgon Carbon as a leader in the granular activated carbon market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university. (Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalent relevant work experience in lieu of preferred education/degree.
  • Driver’s License is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience running and monitoring pilot trials in the field. Must be able to use and apply computer design programs for product applications.
  • Must have 1-2 years of experience in the field of drinking water treatment
