Role Outline

Are you an experienced human resource professional with experience in the logistics/transport space and passionate about people management and embracing a diverse workforce to build a result-oriented workforce to realize the business goals with customer centricity being on top of the priorities? We are looking for someone with midlevel experience in human resource management to support and grow the human resource capacity to support efficient and effective operations in the business.

To support the Human Resources Business Partners, Line Management, and employees through the delivery of a professional HR management service, using a dynamic business partnership. The junior HRBP will also analyze HR data and lead L&D processes. Additionally, he/she is expected to collaborate with different departments to address HR related issues and contribute to fostering a positive work culture within the organization.

About the role Key duties and responsibilities

• In collaboration with HRBP Kenya, ensure implementation and management of Human Resources policies, procedures, systems, and practices at the operational level.

• Ensure efficient HR administration support is provided to contracts, departments, and sites.

• In liaison with the Payroll Manager, support with monthly payroll input & annual merit and bonus processes.

 • Lead Learning & Development initiatives, programs, and processes.

• Support with Industrial & Employee relations; Disciplinary, Union & CBA matters - good understanding of the local labour legislation, and labour practice and offer advice to the business.

• Prepare & submit monthly HR reporting; prepare continuous and monthly HR metrics and data analytics for management decision-making.

• Leave administration and capturing.

• Follow up weekly with Site Management on Biometric Capture.

• Manage and run effective and efficient recruitment process & onboarding in line with company processes and policy.

• Assist in the implementation of HR-related functions for OMS.

 • Effective HR communication - update communication zones with all relevant HR information and activities.

• Administration and coordination of performance management/review within functions and sites.

 • Liaise with the Function Head and Site Leadership Team in assisting with any training needs.

 • Quality data management in HRIS; HRDB, SDH etc.

• Participate in contract leadership team, support business renewals & contracts upscaling.

 • Support with HR Audits; Human Rights, People basics etc.

About you

• Relevant University degree in a business-related field.

• 4-5 years of Experience in Human Resource Management.

• HR certification.

• IHRM Practicing certificate.

• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, Innovative & creativity.

• Business and Commercial Acumen.

• Experience in warehousing/logistics / FMCG environment.

• Very good knowledge of IR.

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

• Well-organized individual and results oriented.
