Monitor production output to achieve established daily packed product standards, and keep employees informed as to how they are performing against standards.
Ensure quality standards are met by monitoring activity and all workstations; communicate with the grader to ensure all products are packed to specification.
Assign daily work tasks to pack room employees to maximize production efficiencies and ensure quality standards are met.
Ensure employees are fully trained in their work duties; cross-train employees to ensure adequate back-up.
Monitor employees’ work performance and address individual performance issues.
Monitor and resolve employee issues regarding interpersonal conflict with co-workers, horseplay, GMP and policy violations. Involve Area Manager prior to all documented discipline.
Monitoring packaging supplies necessary to keep the Pack Room running. Keep the Area Manager informed of any package needs far enough in advance to ensure supplies are delivered in a timely manner.
Complete and turn-in daily production reports no later than 8:00am the following day.
Approve the time sheet for Pack Room by 8:00am the following day.
Maintain complete accurate records and reports and distribute them to appropriate locations in a timely manner.
Minimize spillage of product and enforce all good manufacturing practices associated with the Pack Room.
Ensure that all safety rules are enforced, and that proper protective equipment (PPE) is worn wherever needed.
Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

High School degree or GED
Minimum 6 months of recent supervisory or lead operational experience demonstrating strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Minimum four years’ manufacturing experience.
Demonstrated ability to provide and maintain a productive, positive environment for the employees of the Supervisor’s work group as well as maintaining a positive working relationship with other area employees, supervisors, managers and departments.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively under pressure, remain flexible and positive, adapt to changing priorities and time constraints, and meet deliverables.
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Demonstrates good problem solving and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated computer experience with MS office suite, Outlook, Excel, Word. Familiarity and experience with MRP systems and other related database programs a plus.
Must lead by example demonstrating and maintaining an excellent time and attendance record.
Must be Forklift certified with production driving experience
Must lead by example demonstrating and maintaining all GMP’s and safety programs and practices in the work group.
Must possess strong communication skills; written, verbal and interpersonal; must be able to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to perform basic math skills, find discrepancies and implement resolutions.
Pass a written Supervisor Test exam with a minimum score of 80%.
Physical Requirements
Frequent physical activity includes walking, standing, twisting, reaching, gripping with hands and fingers, lifting up to 50 pounds, hearing, close and far vision. Moderate physical activity includes bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and climbing.
Environmental Factors
Working conditions include exposure to plant temperature extremes, dampness, humidity, fumes, and high noise levels. Work requires wearing proper protective equipment. Incumbent may work with rotating machinery and in a crowded area.
