POSITION OVERVIEW:

Vote Execution analysts monitor the proxy flow of our clients to ensure that their votes are submitted downstream accurately and efficiently. Analysts work with clients, internal operations teams, and external proxy distributors in order to achieve this mission. Vote Execution analysts serve as escalation points for clients for any proxy related issues that arise and also monitor internal voting applications to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly. Analysts monitor a number of daily and monthly reports in order to identify and resolve potential issues and continually work to create new or improve existing processes. Analysts also work with internal and external groups to improve application functionality, operational efficiency, and communication between all involved parties with regards to the proxy voting process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and improve processes that maintain and manage mission critical data for the proxy voting, proxy distribution, or security class action claims filing services.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert with regards to the process flow of proxies and any custodian specific issues.
  • Represent ISS to clients during due diligence visits, renewal review meetings, and issue resolution sessions.
  • Work with clients, custodians and others to answer questions and ensure successful issue resolution regarding the recon, proxy flow, and custodian account setups.
  • Develop strong relationships with both internal teams and external constituents.
  • Review production and timeliness reports and work to implement continuous process improvement and internal controls on mission critical data.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators that are critical to achieving team goals and performance objectives.
  • Sponsor teamwork and employee development by initiating and supporting cross- functional initiatives on a regular basis.
  • Participate in the annual client renewal process through account and process reviews.
  • Maintain data to ensure quality of mission critical information using both proprietary applications and commonly used business software applications.
  • Work with account managers and client implementation to ensure that required client data is received in a timely and high quality manner.
  • Ensure comprehensive audit trails are in place for data that is received from or sent to production systems.
  • Establish and monitor quality control metrics to identify potential data issues and taking ownership of resolution for all issues that are identified.
  • Support development of training documentation, standard procedures and systems to support growing team.

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Excellent oral and written communications
  • Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  • Strong computer skills with office applications
  • Team player and an excellent relationship builder
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills – defining of scope, resources and time lines, and managing to deliverables
