Mammography Technologist (RPT)- days - Military veterans preferred

Performs professional duties involved in a variety of mammography procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for mammographic diagnosis of adolescent through geriatric patients.

• Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriately care for all patients and families served.  
• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Performs all tests required by MQSA and ACR. Follows all MQSA/ACR regulatory guidelines.
• Performs duties associated with processing patients, which may include appropriate procedure verification, file management, film processing and computer processing skills.
• Evaluates and positions patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, courtesy, patience and safety.
• Complies with all Carilion Clinic and Imaging policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains ARRT registry and/or mammography registry with appropriate CEU's in mammography as required by MQSA. Enhances personal and professional growth through participation in educational opportunities.
