Responsibilities

 

Must live in Eastern Standard Time zone 

 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Provider Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll manage provider inquiries and billing processes with accuracy and efficiency. The position involves resolving claims issues, processing documentation, and maintaining billing information across integrated systems while ensuring excellent provider communication and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve provider inquiries regarding claims status, payments, and billing procedures.
  • Process and distribute Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents to providers upon request.
  • Update provider account information in billing systems as needed Maintain accurate billing information across two integrated systems.
  • Verify insurance information for claims processing Reconcile provider inquiries and identify discrepancies.
  • Document all provider interactions in appropriate systems Generate routine and ad-hoc reports related to billing activities.
  • Assist in resolution of out-of-network medical claims petitions Support special billing projects as assigned Update account contact information as needed.
 
 
 

 



Qualifications

 

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent 

 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Customer Service
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis
  • Proven attention to detail with ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for provider interaction
  • Experience with data entry requiring high accuracy and speed
