We are seeking a motivated Jr. Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The ideal candidate will bring foundational knowledge of cybersecurity practices and a strong understanding of U.S. Army cybersecurity requirements. Requirements:- Conduct STIG evaluations in a U.S. Army environment
- Assist in maintaining compliance with DoD cybersecurity regulations and best practices
- Support vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts across Ft. Rucker systems
- Participate in the development, testing, and implementation of incident response plans
- Review and manage AVS personnel records to ensure cybersecurity compliance
- Document and report security incidents, findings, and mitigation strategies
- Stay informed on emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity trends
- Collaborate with senior cybersecurity staff and IT teams to implement and monitor security controls
- Understand cybersecurity documentation requirements to support the AVCOE mission
- Familiarity with NIST, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in DoD cybersecurity operations.
- Detailed understanding of RMF and evaluate STIG.
- Optional Certifications: CYSA, CISSP, CASSP, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks.
- Experience with:
-Writing and reviewing firewall change requests.
-Processing software approval requests.
-Drafting and managing incident reports.
To get started, you must have:
- Security + certification
- Be a high school graduate
- Possess a SECRET clearance
- Experience working in a DoD cyber capacity
- 1+ years experience working with DoD cyber systems
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks.
