Overview

What We’re Looking For
As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) Level 2 at CyberPoint, you will help safeguard mission-critical systems by supporting the development, implementation and enforcement of information security policies and practices. You'll assist in maintaining compliance, ensuring secure system operations and working with senior ISSOs and system managers to assess risks, manage changes and protect classified information.

What You'll Do

  • Support senior ISSOs in implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards and methodologies.
  • Maintain the operational security posture for information systems programs or enclaves.
  • Assist with day-to-day security operations management of system security aspects.
  • Evaluate and recommend security solutions to ensure compliance with requirements for processing classified information.
  • Perform vulnerability and risk assessments to support certification and accreditation (C&A).
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for system security software, hardware and firmware.
  • Develop, maintain and update documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Support security authorization activities in compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms.
  • Manage and assess the security impact of changes to systems, hardware and software.
  • Maintain records of security-relevant devices, such as servers, routers, firewalls and switches.
  • Propose, coordinate and enforce information security policies across assigned systems.
  • Plan and coordinate IT security programs and policies in alignment with ODNI and DoD requirements.
This position is 100% onsite and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience supporting information assurance programs and security operations.
  • Familiarity with configuration management processes for security-relevant systems.
  • Knowledge of NIST RMF and government certification/accreditation processes.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce and maintain security artifacts.
  • Hands-on experience supporting user access controls and authentication mechanisms.
  • Ability to evaluate and implement security solutions for classified environments.
What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience serving as an Approval Authority for information systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of ODNI and DoD information assurance requirements.
  • Strong background in vulnerability and risk assessment methodologies,
  • Proven ability to coordinate across teams and enforce compliance with security standards.
  • Familiarity with managing security-relevant hardware and software in large enterprise or mission environments.
