Description:

Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Inc. (EVS) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer (Network) to support an upcoming proposal effort* for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). In this position you will, lead the design, implementation, and integration of secure, enterprise-level network systems. This individual will be instrumental in developing hybrid software, hardware, and web-based solutions for resilient IT environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across LAN/WAN architectures, VoIP, and firewall technologies, with a strategic vision to align systems engineering with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced network solutions within corporate LAN/WAN environments.
  • Lead the integration of Cisco and Juniper systems, TCP/IP protocols, VoIP technologies, and secure routing/switching.
  • Develop and maintain cable plant designs including fiber optic infrastructure and firewall configurations.
  • Oversee the full systems development lifecycle from requirements through design, coding, testing, rollout, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate network operating systems, applications, and hardware into cohesive solutions.
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and security in all network and systems architecture.
  • Manage documentation and compliance with IT governance and cybersecurity standards.
  • Evaluate project scope in terms of cost, schedule, risk, and technical feasibility while considering broader organizational and user impacts.

*This position is contingent upon the award of the contract. The anticipated start date and scope of work will be determined based on the outcome of the interview process and the details of the awarded contract.

Requirements:
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in network/system design and implementation in enterprise environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, TCP/IP, VoIP, routers, switches, firewalls, and fiber optic systems.
  • Must have DoD IAT Level III certification, such as one of the following:

CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)

CCNP Security (Cisco Certified Network Professional Security)

CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) – or Associate of (ISC)² for CISSP

GCED (GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender)

GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler)

  • Proficient in end-to-end systems engineering processes including integration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of resilient software/hardware/web-based systems and network programming principles.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in federal or DoD network environments.
  • Strong project management skills with attention to both the big picture and technical execution.
  • Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity frameworks and NIST standards.
