CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned mission focused solutions and digital transformation company, is looking for a highly motivated .NET/SharePoint Developer to support a Federal client at the National Institutes of Health. Required to work at customer site two days per week in Bethesda MD. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work within an Agile/Scrum Team supporting multiple systems (.NET, SharePoint, SharePoint workflows) within the grants, administrative and clinical trial business domains
Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to fully understand business requirements captured as Product Backlog Items (PBIs)/Bugs
Collaborate with Scrum Team to determine best IT solutions to meet client’s business needs
Design, develop and test code based on PBIs/Bugs
Build new systems and maintain existing systems
Develop unit tests and system tests
Test systems for Accessibility/Section 508 and security compliance
Work and support IT groups network, security and user support teams
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated skill and proficiency in building custom .NET/SharePoint systems using the following:
Microsoft tool suite and technologies: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, C# and VB.NET, .NET 4.0+, MVC, React, Typescript, Angular, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, MS SQL Server (SQL, T-SQL, SSIS)
Version Control/Collaboration: GitHub, Azure DevOps, TFS
Microsoft SharePoint technologies: SharePoint 2016/2019, SharePoint out-of-the-box feature, custom controls, Web parts, SharePoint Designer and Workflows
Web application frameworks: such as ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC, JQuery, Bootstrap
Service frameworks: RESTful, WCF, Web API
Familiar with Agile/Scrum software development methodology
Familiar with developing in Azure Cloud environment.
Ability to fulfill multiple roles and provide full software development capabilities for multiple operational systems (e.g., analysis, testing, training, help desk and other tasks)
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance prior to project start
Desired Skills:
Minimum of 8 years in the information technology field
One or more recent Microsoft developer certifications is preferred
Experience in the Federal Information Technology environment
Prior experience working at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the grants business domain and with enterprise systems (e.g., eRA/IMPACII)
Prior experience working with Section 508 and security compliance
Prior UI/UX development experience
Experience with DevExpress tool suite
Experience of working with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Microsoft Copilot, and business analytics
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Microsoft Developer
Demonstrated experience with SharePoint custom development (e.g., SharePoint 2016/2019, AppModel, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint workflows)
