Responsibilities

1. Order Picking:

   • Retrieve items from shelves or storage areas according to order specifications.
   • Use handheld scanners  to ensure accuracy 

2. Quality Control:

   • Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
   • Ensure that picked items meet quality standards and specifications.

3. Equipment Operation:

   • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
   • Follow safety protocols while using equipment.

4. Documentation:

   • Complete necessary paperwork or electronic documentation related to order picking and inventory management.
   • Maintain accurate records of items picked and any issues encountered.

5. Communication:

   • Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to address any picking issues or concerns.
   • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

6. Adherence to Procedures:

   • Follow established picking procedures and protocols to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
   • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and safety regulations.

7. Maintaining Cleanliness:

   • Keep the work area organized and clean to promote safety and efficiency.
   • Dispose of packaging materials and waste properly.

8. Continuous Improvement:

   • Provide feedback on processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
• Skills:
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for counting and measuring.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (certification may be required).
