Summary

The Lead role for Paid Media is responsible for executing and overseeing the day-to-day management and optimization of paid media campaigns while leading a team of specialists. Reporting to the Senior Director, Growth Marketing, this role balances hands-on campaign execution with team leadership to ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to performance expectations. The Lead serves as the primary representative of SHRM Paid Media, managing regular relationships with a variety of agency partners and internal marketing teams. The Lead ensures best practices are upheld, agency accountability is maintained, and performance insights are delivered consistently to drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee paid media campaigns end-to-end, while managing and mentoring a team of Specialists. Balance hands-on campaign management with coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to ensure deliverables, budgets, and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Translate high-level paid media strategies into actionable plans for Specialists and agency partners to execute.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for SHRM with paid media agency and internal partners - fostering accountability, and escalating issues or opportunities as needed.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple paid media partners, ensuring alignment on objectives, campaign execution, deliverables, and compliance with SHRM brand standards.
  • Monitor KPIs across channels, providing updates and actionable recommendations to internal teams and leadership.
  • Coordinate campaign launches with internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless workflows and accountability.
  • Provide oversight of budget pacing, reallocations, and reporting to maintain efficiency and prevent overspend.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Growth Marketing, Content, SEO, and Analytics teams to ensure integration of paid media with broader marketing efforts.
  • Ensure the team maintains reporting cadences and delivers actionable insights.
  • Uphold and train team members on evolving paid media best practices.
  • Leverage tools such as Monday.com, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), and Datorama for workflow management, analysis, and reporting.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in paid media

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to effectively leverage artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and improve overall work quality.
  • Advanced understanding of paid media strategy, planning, and optimization across multiple channels.
  • Strong knowledge of paid search and SEO best practices, including keyword research, content optimization, and landing page performance alignment.
  • Proven ability to manage and strategically allocate a large-scale, multi-million-dollar budget for maximum ROI.
  • Analytical skills to connect campaign KPIs to business outcomes and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in audience targeting strategy development and performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills for managing partner relationships, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with workflow and analytics tools such as Monday.com, Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), and Datorama.
  • Adaptability to evolving market trends, tools, and organizational priorities.

Certifications

  • Certifications in the Adobe Experience tools a plus.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment

Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):

  • This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and concluding between 5:00PM – 6:00PM.

Travel: 0 – 10%

The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $115,00 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
