The SUE Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) projects from start to finish. This role ensures all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The SUE Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between SAM and our clients, manages both field and office teams, and plays an active role in business development and staff growth.

• Manage SUE projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule are met

• Prepare and manage proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, and billings

• Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings as required

• Plan staffing needs, allocate resources, and oversee multiple projects at once

• Build and maintain strong client relationships and pursue business development opportunities

• Deliver project updates and presentations to clients and stakeholders

• Coordinate with sub-consultants, partners, and internal teams for seamless execution

• Track and report financial performance, including AR, WIP, and billing cycles

• Represent SAM at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows

• Support other operational teams and contribute to company-wide goals

• Previous industry related work experience in a professional or management capacity

• Knowledge of SUE practices and applicable standards (ASCE 38-22 preferred)

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships

• Proficiency with CAD, GIS, and utility data management platforms

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
