Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

General Description

The Foreign Exchange Department is responsible for buying and selling most major foreign currencies to both internal and external customers. It advises customers on which foreign exchange products are most suitable for their needs, while ensuring optimal customer service and satisfaction. The department also supports branches and other departments with foreign exchange transactions for both commercial and non-commercial clients. All operations must comply with departmental guidelines, internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including OFAC verification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attentively listen to customers to address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Provide orientation and product descriptions to help customers identify which product best meets their needs.
  • Proactively prevent and resolve customer issues.
  • Apply sales and customer service skills effectively.
  • Execute foreign exchange transactions and services in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the appropriate amount of cash in the teller area and ensure it is secured following safety and security protocols.
  • Manage a reasonable inventory of various foreign currencies.
  • Prepare trade ticket quotes for credit transactions. Investigate unidentified transactions with the sending bank and follow up until resolution is achieved.
  • Sell excess foreign currencies to bank agents. Perform spot purchases to cover wire transfers and manage currency positions between the bank’s foreign accounts.
  • Provide operational support for wire transfer processes.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education

Completion of at least 60?credits approved from a university or Accredited Institution?or equivalent combination of education and experience.?

Experience

At least one year of related experience. Teller experience is preferred.

  • Proficiency in various systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Demonstrates the ability to present numerical data clearly and accurately.
