Job Summary
As a Smart Campus Academic Technologist Lead, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience at the University of Kentucky by promoting the innovative use of Apple technology and supporting the Student iPad Kit initiative. This position involves leading workshops, delivering customized presentations, and collaborating with students, faculty, and campus organizations to drive engagement with technology-enhanced learning. You’ll take initiative in event planning, outreach, and partnership development while supporting key Smart Campus programs such as UK Invests, Digital Signage, and Bowman’s Friends. The role includes mentoring other academic technologists, leveraging social media for event promotion, and integrating Smart Campus technologies into diverse campus spaces. In addition to managing training and development, you’ll gain experience in leveraging social platforms to promote campus services while participating in ongoing professional development


Applicants for this position need to be able to work independently while maintaining a collaborative spirit with team members and a drive to provide respectful customer-oriented assistance. Successful candidates will possess self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse clients. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can listen to customer service needs and then offer exceptional customer service solutions and dynamic problem-solving results. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The individual should have excellent communication, organization, and research skills with the ability to follow department procedures/policies and to work independently and among peers. Experience in delivering workshops or training sessions, familiarity with educational technology applications, leadership experience in an academic setting.
