Job Summary
The Museum Attendant will be responsible for greeting visitors, handling admissions, and providing information about exhibits and programs. The Attendant will also provide support with events, as needed – which can include setup/breakdown and helping staff guide visitors through the experience. Duties will also include general museum maintenance such as vacuuming and dusting, and helping to maintain safety of the exhibits and objects therein. The Attendant will also help the Museum to track attendance and will assist with data entry related to visitation.

Excellent communication skills; interest in sharing history; interest in the humanities; ability to handle simple monetary exchanges; confidence and openness to provide the best experience for every potential visitor.

Retail (exchanging money for goods or services), greeter, event staff, and public service in general. History, Communications, Library Science, Museum Studies, English, and Political Science (Humanities) majors preferred.
