Function of Position:
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program that serves students overcoming obstacles in higher education, including limited income, first-generation to college, and disability. This position will create and maintain systems to ensure that eligible TRIO participants are seamlessly connected to Student Support Services in an effort to advance the major goals of the program, which include increased retention, graduation, and transfer rates among the program's target population.
Under the leadership of the Director of Learning Support Systems, the Program Director will serve as the primary liaison between TRIO Student Support Services and the campus community. The Program Director will ensure the SSS program meets established goals, objectives, and federal guidelines and manage the day-to-day operations of the program, including planning, supervision of program staff, maintaining appropriate program records, and assuring program-reporting requirements are met. The Program Director will oversee services for SSS participants, including, but not limited to tutoring, course advisement, academic coaching, disability and career services, personal counseling services, assistance in financial aid application, and transfer to four-year degree programs. The position will carry a caseload of SSS students.
*This is a temporary, grant-funded position that may be renewed annually contingent upon availability of grant funding and performance reviews. This position is eligible for paid time off and benefits.
Primary Functions:
Leadership and Supervision: Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the SSS program by recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff, developing schedules to ensure student access at both campuses, and representing TRIO on campus committees.
Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure compliance with federal regulations, program guidelines, grant requirements, and College protocols while overseeing participant selection and tracking, and contributing to required reports and grant renewals.
Student Advising and Engagement: Collaborate with campus partners to recruit and onboard students through outreach and orientations, provide advising, needs assessment, referrals, and progress monitoring, connect students to campus resources and transfer planning support, and organize events, trips, career exploration opportunities, and communication materials.
Secondary Functions: Participate in events outside regular college hours, including open houses and recruitment activities, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Associate Vice President.

Salary: Salary is determined based on experience, internal equity, and college budget. This position has a salary of $63,000 and is based on the mentioned factors.
