As we continue to expand our horizons, we are seeking a part time, Onsite Support Technician - II to strengthen our service team, as they deliver innovative solutions at the client site based in Fremont, California. 



Position Summary
The Onsite Support Technician - II provides hands-on support for audiovisual and IT systems at client facilities. This role works closely with managers, internal Avidex teams, manufacturers, and customers to ensure systems are properly supported, operated, and maintained. Success in this position requires a solid background in audio, video, and control systems, along with a strong understanding of computers and networks. Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, punctuality, effective communication skills, and the technical ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex AV systems.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
  • 2 or more years of experience providing technical or onsite support within the AV/ IT industry;
  • Must have an AVIXA CTS certification within one year;
  • Must attain a AVIXA ANP certification within one year;
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency using Microsoft Windows and Apple software; 
  • Great communication and customer service skills;
  • Innovation and passion;
  • Ability to learn quickly, self- motivate, and be a team player;
  • Accountability, emotional intelligence and integrity.


Responsibilities 

  • Providing client support for meetings, conferences, and events;
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing all AV equipment, including video conference and audio DSPs, video walls, and projection;
  • Providing preventative maintenance care to clients ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently;
  • Diagnosing and resolving control system issues with remote support;
  • Monitoring client's tracking system for repair requests and managing ticketed incidents to resolution;
  • Connecting to Crestron controllers and using Toolbox to make modifications to system settings;
  • Installing and removing AV equipment and processing RMAs for warrantied repairs;
  • Providing technical guidance and training to other team members;
  • Ensuring all safety standards required by OSHA are implemented;
