Career Opportunity: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Reporting to: Manufacturing Manager

Work Location: Strongsville, OH


As a Sr Manufacturing Engineer at Spartronics you will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of manufacturing engineering concepts and procedures. Apply engineering principles and concepts to manufacturing and able to draw solutions from both formal training and experience.


What a Day Looks Like:

  • Lead technical aspects (IQ, OQ & PQ) on new product build programs.
  • Support products in manufacturing.
  • Provide recommendation for enhancements, and cost reductions, initiate ECN's and formulate cost impacts.
  • Evaluate materials and systems, identify equipment to complete assemblies, and prepare process/work instructions for manufacturing.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of engineering activities.
  • Generate and submit engineering documentation.
  • Apply root cause analysis for design or work product issues as it applies to an engineering discipline.
  • Train production personnel on assembly processes.
  • Participate in customer product meetings.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as it relates to manufacturing.
  • Travel to customer sites to resolve manufacturing issues and assist in transfers.
Requirements:
  • BS Engineering (experience may be substituted)
  • 7+ years experience in Electronics Manufacturing
  • Strong electrical component background
  • Good electromechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Previous work experience in a medical device or aerospace manufacturer
  • Ability to write processes and work instructions
  • Ability to write validation plans and reports
  • Ability to interface with customer on sustaining products as well as new product introductions effectively

Work Hours: Monday-Thursday on site (7am-5pm) and Fridays Working Remotely (4 hours).
