Mission Critical Customer Service Rep. - Military veterans preferred

SUMMARY

The Mission Critical Customer Service Representative is a committed, courteous, knowledgeable, and hard-working member of the Mission Critical Logistics team. Customer service, safety, dependability, punctuality are top priorities for these individuals. The Mission Critical Customer Service Representative is the face of Foster Fuels in working with Commercial and Government Customers to ensure they receive fuel purchases at the best price with the best service.  

DUTIES 

• Answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner with the utmost courtesy and professional demeanor to respond to customer inquiries regarding service, pricing, and delivery schedules
• Schedule fuel deliveries to commercial and government customers per their request, schedules are made internally with dispatch or externally with subcontractors.
• Contact Subcontractors to obtain pricing and delivery schedules to meet customer's needs. Place orders for customers according to best price/ delivery available
• Maintain and update annually State Licenses, i.e., State Tax, Fuel Distribution Licenses, Motor Fuel Licenses, etc.
• Maintain Certificates of Insurance for each Sub-Contractor
• Complete Customer bids as requested and responded in a timely manner to ensure Foster Fuels obtains the contract.
• Support overall department goals and objectives and perform any other administrative duties as assigned.

KEY CANDIDATE SKILLS

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Associate degree or higher preferred.
• At least one year of previous Customer Service Experience in a corporate environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment will consist of mix of phone calls and computer related tasks to assist with the customer experience.  Customer inquiries can fluctuate based on seasonal demands which can also affect office hour requirements.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
