Eagleview, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring a SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN in STRATEGIC RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT. We are a fast paced, energetic team driven by continuous process improvement. We’re looking for motivated, organized, and independent team members. This position requires good communication skills and the ability to quickly pick up new technologies.

As a Software Engineering Intern at EagleView, you will be part of an agile team focused on developing high-performance applications using C/C++. This position requires a keen interest in image processing technologies and techniques. You will work closely with other engineers to enhance and build sophisticated cloud-based image processing systems and scientific applications.

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of C/C++ applications with a focus on image processing.
• Contribute to the improvement of existing imaging algorithms and the development of new technology solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate image processing features into broader systems.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain standard coding practices.
• Document software specifications and maintain technical documentation.

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Image Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming or other low-level algorithmic processing language.
• Experience or coursework in image processing, computer vision, or a related area.
• Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with GIS software, OpenCV, or other imaging libraries or tools.
• Knowledge of parallel computing or AWS cloud computing.
• Previous internship or project experience in software development or image processing.

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, and the location where the work will be performed. This is a full time, remote position with a compensation range of $23.00 to $25.00/hr.
