40 hours per week; Mostly Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Job Summary
The STEPS Academic Advisor will work with students through direct one-on-one advising, including but not limited to:

  • Providing information on course selection and registration
  • Interpreting and explaining university and college policies and degree requirements
  • Assisting students to identify skill interest and career options
  • Advising students on academic-related issues specific to that individual student

The STEPS Academic Advisor will regularly monitor student progress toward degree, considering current coursework, as well as any previously earned credit to assist the student with maintaining timely degree completion.

In addition to these responsibilities, the STEPS Academic Advisor will assist with multiple orientations/advising conferences throughout the academic year.
