This is what you will do
As our Customer Solutions Manager (CSM), you will represent Express Operations and support Sales throughout acquisition and implementation processes. You’ll be responsible for managing complex customer requirements, designing tailored solutions, overseeing implementation, and aligning internal procedures. You will be an advisor and sparring partner of new and existing customers, internal departments and international customers shipping to our country.
You will develop, implement, and maintain non-standard and/or high-volume express service solutions that meet both customer and industry needs—while staying within the capabilities and strategic interests of DHL Express. Your expertise will be key in shaping solutions for:
As a DHL and industry expert, you understand supply chain concepts and can translate them into scalable, generic solutions tailored to specific industries. You will lead the implementation process in close collaboration with cross-functional DHL project teams and customer stakeholders. Additionally, you’ll develop operational procedures that meet customer needs while contributing to DHL Express’s drive for process standardization. You’ll be part of a strong global customer operations network, which means supporting and advising colleagues worldwide—and building relationships that foster mutual support.
This is you
· Academic background at university/master’s level (preferably in logistics or transport), or equivalent experience
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations management, key account management, or supply chain management
· Proven ability to work with major customers, identifying and resolving requirements that drive retention, acquisition, and revenue growth
· Strong logistics and transportation expertise
· Flexible working attitude—understanding that many logistics operations occur outside standard office hours
· In-depth knowledge of Express operational processes and our global network capabilities
· Solid understanding of customer operations, billing, customs, and IT/ESS processes
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
