Position Description

As a Refrigeration EIT or Designer you will work individually, with senior engineers and with Project Managers in developing refrigeration system designs. This position performs calculations, selects components, and produces construction documents for systems specified by the Project Engineer. This role may act as Project Engineer for small projects.

Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually.

Primary Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other related degree and/or equivalent experience
  • 2 to 5+ years of project experience
  • Basic knowledge of Autodesk MEP Revit, Auto CADD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Outlook
  • Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems and knowledge of (standard DX system, CO2 system and advanced hybrid)
  • Basic knowledge of Calculations
  • High level of collaboration and communication

Position Responsibilities***

  • Perform engineering analysis and design calculations
  • Analyze product literature, specifications and select major system components
  • Produce plans, sections, details, specifications, and schedules
  • Prepare estimates, compare with client requirements
  • Plan projects and coordinate with other consultants
  • Integrate all elements into design for client review and approval
  • Provide basic research into jurisdictional requirements
  • Provide and implement basic code research
  • Perform engineering studies and prepare reports
  • Electronically draft plans, schedules, profiles, surveys, diagrams, and details under the direction of the Project Engineer
  • Drawing input, set up and red line correction changes
  • Site travel

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate's years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
