Department Overview
The Child Development and Rehabilitation Clinic provides specialized, multidisciplinary care for children with complex developmental, behavioral, and medical needs. Medical assistants play a vital role in supporting clinic operations, including patient intake, rooming, coordination with providers, and assisting with treatment. With only two medical assistants supporting our clinic, the upcoming vacancy will significantly impacted workflow efficiency and care quality. Replacing the vacant MA position is essential to maintain safe, timely, and coordinated care, reduce strain on remaining staff, and ensure continued support for the children and families we serve.
Function/Duties of PositionAs a Medical Assistant, you will provide a full range of support as part of the medical care team. Your primary duties in this position are: rooming, collecting patient vital signs, point of care testing, documentation in the electronic medical record (EHR), maintaining clinic flow, stocking exam rooms, assisting with procedures and treatments, and communicating with efficiency and diplomacy.
