The Senior Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of program managers and project managers for executing
complex, high-impact programs. This role requires strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive program success across multiple projects. The Senior Program Manager will ensure alignment with organizational goals (financial and contractual), optimize resource allocation, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the program management team.
Responsibilities:
Program Leadership:
- Develop and execute program strategies, objectives, and roadmaps to achieve organizational goals
- Oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects within the program, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and external partners
Team Management:
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to Project Managers, ensuring their professional growth and performance
- Assign projects and responsibilities to Project Managers based on expertise, workload, and program priorities
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and align program goals
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for program optimization
- Monitor program performance using consistent metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, customer and contractual stipulations, and regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program alignment and support
- Prepare and deliver program updates, reports, and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders
Resource Management:
- Manage program budgets, resources, and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize risks
- Identify and resolve resource constraints, ensuring the program is adequately staffed and equipped
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology management
- Master’s degree preferred
- PMP certification preferred
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in program or project management of federal contracts, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of managing large-scale programs, leading cross-functional and technical teams, and managing deliverables
Professional Skills:
- Relevant and related technical background for national security contracts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Familiarity with office management software and tools
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)

- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

Special Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation
- Must have a Secret clearance or be capable of obtaining an interim Secret clearance
