A3 Consulting, LLC is seeking a skilled Executive Vice President, Growth to lead and expand our business development and capture management functions. This key executive role will focus on accelerating revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and winning new business opportunities within the federal government sector. In this job you will:
- Develop and implement aggressive strategies to identify and qualify business opportunities within new agencies and customers.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align opportunity pursuits with corporate growth strategies and goals. Provide insights during pipeline reviews and participate in strategic planning sessions.
- Build and maintain a healthy and accurate pipeline, ensuring updates to key data in the corporate CRM such as expected RFP release and award dates.
- Regularly present detailed opportunity progress at bid decisions, capture/phase reviews, and other growth-related meetings.
- Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with government decision-makers, program managers, contracting officers, and industry partners to enhance visibility of A3's capabilities and track record.
- Oversee the full capture lifecycle, including gate reviews, solutioning, call plans, pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and development of key win themes. Collaborate with internal teams to define discriminators, price-to-win strategies, and technical solutions.
- Direct and support new business development opportunities to improve the company's business portfolio to include marketing and customer call plans.
- Lead and contribute to proposal efforts, including drafting and reviewing content for RFIs, sources sought, RFPs, and RFQs to produce compelling, high-quality, compliant responses.
- Negotiate and coordinate NDAs, teaming agreements, and other partnership arrangements in collaboration with the contracts team.
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans for the capture of key opportunities.
- Obtain marketing intelligence and competitive data pertaining to potential targeted pursuits and develop marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, staffing, and pricing experts, to ensure capture efforts are comprehensive and aligned with opportunity requirements.
- Identify and secure strategic partners, subcontractors, and small business teammates to strengthen offerings and meet customer set-aside goals.
- Establish, build, and maintain customer relationships and assess competitor capabilities.
- Support creation and execution of multi-year business development strategies.
- Coordinate with talent acquisition to gather incumbent and key personnel intelligence to strengthen capture efforts.
- Mentor and guide growth team members to strengthen account management, capture strategies, and proposal execution.
- Partner with operations, delivery, and solutions teams to align offerings with customer needs and drive organic account growth.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical or business-related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in business development which must include strategy, pipeline development, front-end customer engagement, capture, and proposal development for GovCon opportunities.
- Extensive knowledge of federal acquisition strategy, major contract vehicles, current acquisition trends, and procurement policy.
- Established executive-level relationships within multiple federal agencies and the broader GovCon community.
- Proven track record of winning complex, prime contract opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, solution architects, and delivery leaders to craft innovative, tailored solutions.
- Experience with developing customer call plans, stakeholder maps, and capture strategies aligned with agency pain points and mission needs.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and interpersonal skills and ability to present to top level government clients and/or internal A3 leadership using a capture deck or associated briefing materials.
- Familiarity with and ability to use CRM tools.
- Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within defense and intelligence community.
- Experience leading opportunity captures including developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing teaming strategies, identifying and closing with teammates; understanding pricing and assist in developing winning price.
- Demonstrated background in solution selling, developing new markets, with proven leadership from inception to fruition of a strategic campaign.
Clearance Level:
- Eligible and willing to obtain a clearance.
Salary range:
- The salary range of this position is $215,000 - $240,000 commensurate with experience and achievement.
