GA Food Services of Pinellas County, LLC is seeking an experienced Clinical Dietitian to join our team as an independent contractor. This fully remote role requires a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and involves conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments of referred members through phone consultations. 

We are specifically seeking dietitians who hold active state licensure in Washington (WA), Oregon (OR), and Minnesota (MN). Additionally, candidates must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish and able to conduct sessions fluently in both languages.
 

Clinical Dietitian Responsibilities: 

  • Perform medical nutrition therapy, including nutrition assessments, diet modification, nutrition education, and interventions.
  • Conduct nutrition consultations and follow-ups with bilingual clients in Spanish, ensuring clear communication and culturally appropriate guidance.
  • Adhere to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual.
  • Manage scheduling applications for member appointments.
  • Participate in team meetings to address Nutrition Care and Education Program needs. Submit records of completed members for end-of-month reporting.
  • Send educational materials to members when appropriate.
  • Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies.
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure effective diet recommendations tailored to GA Foods' segments.
  • Participate in member satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
  • Develop and revise member-specific nutrition care plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and developments in nutrition and incorporate them into practice.

Contractor Expectations: 

  • Provide services on a flexible schedule for a minimum of 10 hours per week, as agreed upon with GA Foods.
  • Maintain appropriate records and submit invoices for work completed.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian certification - required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare nutrition management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems - required.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands: 

  • Extended periods of sitting and typing at a computer.
