R&D Co-Op Engineering or Scientist - Military veterans preferred

Crane Currency has a 2026 opportunity for a college student to gain hands-on experience in our R&D Department. This role is onsite and is based out of our Alpharetta, GA location. Flexible for a January or May start and will continue for 6 months.

How you will make an impact:

Our program is designed to give you the chance to make a true impact on the business. You will have a direct effect by means of the following projects and work:

• Assist with trial planning, conducting trials, and reporting on results

• Gather and compile data from lab experiments and generate reports

• Assist with lab experiments

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

• Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited institution and pursuing a degree in chemical

• engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, or materials science.

• 2-3 years of college coursework completed.

• Experience with statistical analysis software (ex. JMP, Minitab).

• Strong analytical ability coupled with demonstrated troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with instrumental analysis techniques such as FTIR, UV-Vis, Microscopy, NMR, or others

• Laboratory experience in synthetic and/or analytical methods (this could be fulfilled with coursework or undergraduate research).

• Ability to work under minimal direction is highly preferred.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an ability to demonstrate and maintain suitability for employment in a position of Public Trust consistent with our US Government contract requirements.
