Required License/Registration/Certification
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.
Shift
This position will support late morning/evening shifts, Location currently operating 7am-9pm Monday through Friday and 8:00am – 6:00pm weekend shifts; schedule to equate to 80 hours per 2 week pay period. Staffing may include weekends and may include participation in holiday rotations. Hours and location of work subject to change based on needs of the department.
Job Summary
Performs basic pharmacy technician duties of counting, billing, dispensing and provides customer service processing prescription refills, renewals, and new prescription entry for patients at patient facing or at patient support phone stations as per KY Board of Pharmacy law. The successful Senior Technician will be reliable, punctual, works well within a team, and possesses exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Pharmacy Senior Technicians for Ambulatory Pharmacy Services will play an integral role in ensuring overall customer satisfaction and that a positive patient experience are achieved for all UK retail pharmacy patrons. The ability and desire to work and grow in a fast-paced, complex, and ever-changing field within a dynamic and cutting-edge pharmacy is essential for individuals in this position. This position is eligible for a recruitment bonus. Additional details will be provided during the hiring process should your application be selected to move forward.
The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate’s experience.
