General Function:
The Treasury Management Sales Officer is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new treasury management business opportunities. This role partners closely with MCB Loan Officers to provide cash management solutions that meet the financial needs of corporate, middle-market, and business banking clients.
Essential Functions:
A. Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow treasury management revenue across an assigned portfolio or market.
B. Partner with relationship managers and commercial lenders to identify client needs and cross-sell treasury services.
C. Promote sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, and market and industry developments; manage client visitation and contact.
D. Conduct needs assessments and recommend customized treasury management solutions, including payables, receivables, liquidity management, and fraud prevention services.
E. Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing structures, and product presentations to clients and prospects in conjunction with the Bank's pricing and service offering guidelines.
F. Drive the development of new, profitable business for prospects and existing clients through selling and cross-selling bank products, contact with relationship managers, personal calling efforts, internal/external referrals, and other appropriate means. Meet goals as required.
G. Proactively seek to understand the business environments of the industry and the Bank, our clients, and competition, as well as strategies, capabilities, and gaps. Use the information to identify potential new business opportunities for the bank and to provide the appropriate products and solution(s) for given situations.
H. Serve as a subject matter expert in treasury products, staying current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings.
I. Onboard new clients in coordination with implementation and client service teams to ensure a seamless transition.
J. Provide ongoing client support and periodic reviews to ensure satisfaction and uncover new opportunities.
K. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge by participating in training, workshops, and client events to increase product awareness.
L. Review and manage Account Analysis Accounts for monthly activity and Analysis fees.
M. Period credit risk review on ACH and RDC customers.
2. Treasury Management Support
A. Provide product, implementation, and operational on-site set up, orientation, training, assistance, and technical support as required. Assist in preparing for and presenting information.
B. Meet regularly with Relationship Managers to identify opportunities and provide information on products, services, and unique applications.
C. Answer and resolve Treasury Management related customer inquiries in a timely manner, and provide support and information to other Team Members coordinating with Treasury Management.
3. Compliance
A. Diligently protect confidential information, and assist the Bank in ensuring that all confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately.
B. Maintain an active awareness and understanding of policies, procedures, designated authorities, regulations, and laws, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, etc. Follow these at all times.
C. Communicate openly with supervisors and other management about policies, procedures, work conduct, and job functions. Ask questions to clarify any uncertainty in issues.
D. Address and report suspected violations of policy, procedure, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, and other laws and guidelines, as outlined in the Code of Conduct. Reported information will be kept confidential.
E. Participate in training sessions and policy updates as necessary. Assist with coordination of scheduling as appropriate.
