Your Role at Pivot

Pivot creates workplace environments to enable people to do their best work as a Dispatcher, you are responsible for the field scheduling of delivery and installation work, including manpower and vehicle assignments, final work order instructions, and primary communication with field crews.

In Addition, You Will

  • Contact and schedule all last-mile deliveries with clients and warehouses.
  • Set a route for last mile drivers.
  • Create route in routing software to optimize delivery route.
  • Create a work packet for drivers with individual BOL’s.
  • Provide the warehouse with pull tickets for loading.
  • Communicate with drivers daily to ensure all deliveries are delivered on time.
  • Update the business system with delivery dates and notes on communication with end-users.
  • Receive initial BOL and organize for best routing and delivery performance.
  • Organize all outstanding deliveries and communicate with vendors any orders that cannot be delivered.
  • Work with the installation team for additional drivers to meet workload demands.
  • Update Key Performance Metrics with Master Bill of Lading performance ensuring performance goals are met.

We’re Excited About You If You Have

  • A high school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) or equivalent from a college or technical school; 2-5 years related experience and/or training, including lead installation/dispatch experience, and minimum one-year previous supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software essential, preferably Lotus Notes and MS Office programs.
  • Experience with operations database, as well as previous working experience with Microsoft Word, and Excel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, speak and write in English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, other employees of the organization, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, and circumference. Ability to reconcile project costs comparing original budget versus actual. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

The employee must provide proof of a valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance of an operable vehicle.
