What You Will Do

Under minimal supervision, this position will perform business process analysis of clients, find solutions to meet client needs, lead clients in the selection of systems and supervise teams for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of campus-wide systems.

They will work with IT help desk, clients, vendors, and other IT personnel to troubleshoot incidents. Document issues and resolutions in ticketing system. Troubleshoot hardware associated with systems. Create and maintain advanced workflows, system integrations, and scripts. Create custom systems and processes for SIUE. Coordinate with students on senior projects. Design, create, and maintain SQL databases. Work with vendors to install and maintain systems. Coordinate planned outages with clients. Coordinate system security and software updates. Delegate documentation of existing workflows, system configuration and changes. Ensure service tickets are processed in a timely manner. Process Security and Access Requests. May assign tasks to ITTA-ASA I,II,III, act as backup to manager for supervisory duties and mentor coworkers.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Any combination totaling 6 years from the following categories:
a) Progressively more responsible work experience in IT-related profession
b) College course work in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
* 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
* Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals 18 months (18 months)
* 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
* Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
AND
3. The following department specified requirements:
a) Additional 8 years of progressive experience managing computers or software packages in a complex IT environment.
b) 6 years of experience (concurrent with other experience) with creating Microsoft MVC Applications utilizing C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Jquery
c) 4 years of experience (concurrent with other experience) utilizing Microsoft Power Platform (Automate, Forms, SharePoint, Dataverse, Power BI)
d) 2 years of experience (concurrent with other experience) designing databases in Microsoft SQL server
e) 2 years of experience (concurrent with other experience) supervising personnel.
f) Working knowledge of computer operating systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows, and/or MacOS) and peripherals in a networked environment.
g) Experience with the implementation, support, and integration of software/systems.
h) Ability to handle and resolve ticket-based requests and incidents without direction, while continuing progress on independent projects.
i) Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience.
j) Ability to act as lead administrator on systems and assign tasks.
k) Ability to mentor others as needed in the series
