Responsibilities

  • Redesign and standardize software documentation for end users (including API documentation and Release Notes)
  • Work with internal stakeholders like legal, software engineering, compliance, UX/UI teams, and marketing product managers to create and adapt quality guidelines based on business needs
  • Gather, analyze, and acquire subject knowledge of products by collaborating with subject matter experts to acquire product samples and product knowledge to ensure thorough understanding of product usage
  • Participate in product planning meetings, demos, and reviews to stay up-to-date on software features and enhancements
  • Provide engineering teams with hands-on writing support from initial outline, and rough procedures, to final documentation
  • Own and drive all Content Management System relevant process steps to support the creation of the multilingual language set


Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the following applications:
    • MadCap Central
    • MadCap Flare
    • Sharepoint
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS
  • Familiarity with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman) and developer documentation processes
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts and languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement (within team's span of control)
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple timelines/priorities
  • Proactive and strong communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate within a team environment, supporting others and asking for support, as needed
  • Demonstrated ability to connect and network cross-functionally to understand key stakeholders by project.
  • 3 years or more creating software documentation for end users

Education Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communication, Information Systems, Software Development, or related field
  • SCRUM Master Certification
