Commercial Banker (1298) - Military veterans preferred

The Commercial Banker position is responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of business clients, in their local market, with a focus on generating new commercial loans and deposit relationships. This position will proactively identify business banking opportunities, build strong client relationships, and deliver tailored financial solutions to meet the banking needs of their small to mid-sized businesses. They are seen as a leader within the organization and are an active member and trusted source in the community they serve. Providing exceptional service, while achieving loan, deposit, and profitability goals that align with the bank’s strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

• Increase core deposit growth and generated fee income
• Production of new loans and maintenance of existing loans
• Foster and lead a “Sales” culture for all banking products
• Call on customers and join community involvement initiatives to help expand the bank’s brand and customer base
• Assist customers with lending needs

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of prior banking experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Self-starter capable of seeking new business
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to meet sales expectations and develop business
• Capable of assessing risk to make sound decisions
• High school diploma or equivalent education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior consumer and business banking experience
• Credit review experience
• Experience writing memos for loan proposals

COMPUTER/SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with Microsoft Suites products
