Summary

The Lead, Data Architect is responsible for driving the architecture, integration, and optimization data systems to enable advanced personalization and audience segmentation. This role serves as a critical liaison between IT and Business stakeholders, designing, managing and optimizing our data architecture to support personalization ensuring seamless data flows, enterprise data governance, and the effective use of Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and related tools. The position requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Key Project Initiatives

  • Salesforce Re-Architecture: Lead integration and sync between Salesforce and Marketo.
  • Golden Customer Record Project: Ensure consistency and accuracy of customer data across platforms.
  • Adobe Adoption: Drive marketing team utilization of Adobe tools, including journey and segment creation.
  • Data Migration: Plan and execute migration of legacy data systems to cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Integration

  • Define, implement, and maintain data flows between systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, Marketo, and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
  • Map and merge disparate data sources to create a single source of truth for customer profiles.
  • Lead data migration projects to cloud-based platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric).

Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Leadership

  • Architect and manage data ingestion and hierarchy within AEP, including real-time CDP (Customer Data Platform).
  • Build and publish audience segments for marketing campaigns.
  • Support journey creation within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and drive adoption of Adobe tools across the marketing team

Data Governance

  • Develop and enforce data governance policies to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance in data collection, storage, and usage.
  • Document processes meticulously to avoid errors and maintain data integrity.
  • Establish processes for data quality monitoring, stewardship and change management

Project Management

  • Oversee key initiatives such as the Golden Customer Record Project and Salesforce-Marketo bi-directional sync.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for both long-term architecture projects and fast-paced marketing requests.

Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

  • Partner with business stakeholders, marketers, and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions. Translate technical concepts into business language for key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners to align priorities and deliver solutions.

Education & Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing Technology, or related field.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing technology, data architecture, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), including real-time CDP (RTCDP) and audience segmentation.
  • Experience with data integration across platforms such as NetSuite, Salesforce, and Marketo.
  • Demonstrated success in data governance and documentation.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Salesforce architecture and bi-directional data sync projects.
  • Familiarity with CDP architectures, identity resolution and segmentation strategies
  • Personalization experience, ideally with Adobe Target and related tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric).
  • Previous work in a small, agile team environment.

Work Environment

Hybrid Position (3 Days In-Office, 2 Days Remote):

  • This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with Tuesday through Thursday in office and Monday and Friday remote. Employees must be available during standard business hours, with core hours beginning between 8:00AM – 9:00AM and concluding between 5:00PM – 6:00PM.

Travel: 0 – 10%

The hiring range for this position is $110,000 to $135,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications.
