Wilsonart currently has an opening for a Project Manager!
This role is responsible for ensuring consistent project tracking, reporting, and accountability across multiple initiatives owned by different project leaders. The individual will drive communication, maintain visibility into project scope and deliverables, track spending forecasts, and support leaders in keeping project tasks and updates current. By consolidating project data and enabling clear reporting, this role ensures leadership has an accurate view of project performance, risks, and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management System Ownership
    • Act as the primary administrator for Smartsheet (or equivalent system).
    • Build and maintain templates, dashboards, workflows, and reports for project teams.
    • Ensure accurate, timely, and standardized project data entry across all projects.
  • Scope, Schedule, and Spending Control
    • Track project scopes to ensure alignment with objectives and avoid scope creep.
    • Partner with project leaders to confirm that tasks, milestones, and dependencies are updated in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and support accurate project spending forecasts and budget tracking.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Act as the communication hub for project updates, ensuring transparency across teams and leadership.
    • Provide regular portfolio-level status reports, including progress, risks, and financial forecasts.
    • Facilitate discussions with project leaders to address issues, resolve blockers, and maintain accountability.
  • PMO Support & Governance
    • Drive adherence to Wilsonart's project management standards and reporting cadence.
    • Train and support project leaders in effective use of the project management tool.
    • Follow up on overdue tasks, risks, or gaps in reporting to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Portfolio Visibility & Insights
    • Consolidate data across projects into executive-ready dashboards and summaries.
    • Provide leadership with accurate insights into project health, risks, and spending
    • Support prioritization and resource allocation discussions using system-driven data
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
    • 3+ years of project management, PMO, or related experience.
    • Strong experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, or similar); Smartsheet certification is a plus.
    • Proven ability to manage project scope, schedules, and financial forecasts.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive alignment across all levels of the organization.
    • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accountability in a matrix environment.
  • Preferred Skills
    • Experience in manufacturing, operations, or engineering environments.
    • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Familiarity with portfolio management and financial tracking.
