Job Description:

SUMMARY:

The primary mission of the North Fort Cavazos (NFC) Site Support Office is to support mobilization (MOB), demobilization (DEMOB), and training unit's transitioning North Fort Cavazos. To accomplish this mission, this office will assist mobilization, demobilization, and training unit's facilities prior to while at Fort Cavazos. Once the unit arrives at Fort Cavazos, this office will assist units with facility requirements to aid in mobilizing and demobilizing. To provide outstanding customer support to everyone in a timely manner with respect and courtesy. Ensure satisfaction is obtained by every customer through our service rendered and supplies issued. To make ourselves available for any need that arises.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect, issue, and clear facilities assigned to units as they arrive and depart NFC.

• Conduct weekly inspections of occupied/assigned facilities, to ensure occupants maintain the facility in acceptable order and condition.

• Check outside the buildings for trash, debris, window screens unsecured to windows and light outage. (During issuing or clearance).

• Process and turn in work orders and maintain tracking of work orders that are submitted by MOB/DEMOB units and permanent party personnel.

• Conduct periodic inventories during downtime, reconciles discrepancies and requests, replace items, (Billets & Admin BLDGS) required to standard configurations.

• Answer telephones greet and assist customers with Site Support Issues.

• P erforms various office duties as necessary to include filing, answering phone and scanning documents.

• Conduct a briefing and tour of the facilities with visiting units, who are mobilizing/de-mobilizing to NFC, as needed.

• Maintains the overall maintenance and repair of assigned facilities.

• Maintains DA Form 1594 Staff Duty Journal of activities and events.

• Reports after hours incidents and prepares Serious Incident Report (SIR) or Commanders Critical Information Report (CCIR) 5w's report and Contacts DPTMS personnel.

• Issues and clears facilities after hours, as required.

• Ensures the security of force protection gates and unoccupied facilities during after duty hours

• Maintains security and accountability of keys in backup key box and issues as required and assists in opening facilities when requested after normal duty hours.

• Provides support for mobilization and demobilization units arriving after normal duty, arranging for temporary billets,

• Issues Army Class I and II to mobilization and demobilization units after normal hours if needed.

• Unlocks fuel point for unit vehicles as necessary after normal duty hours. Utilizing retail fuel point. Completes paperwork to log fuel consumption. React to fuel spill by providing a barrier and contacting a hazmat team.

• Updates the DPW daily work order report for submission.

• Maintains, prepares, and operates the wash rack facility for unit use.

• Able to work a flexible work week.

• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office software.

• Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

• This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

o Hours of work 7:30am- 4:30pm, 10:00am-7:00pm, 3:30pm-11:30pm (M-S, including holidays/weekends)

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

• Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook

• Must have skills to utilize basic hand tools.

• Knowledgeable Microsoft Office software.

• Must have valid state driver's license and be able to maintain post driving privileges.

• Must be able obtain/maintain Common Access Card

Preferred :

• Recommend platoon sergeant experience.

• Some trade school preferred.

• Prior work with military/government preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.

Work performed indoors and outdoors. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with weekends and/or holidays on a rotating schedule. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

• Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

• Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

• Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

• Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
