TAKKT Foodservices is seeking a highly skilled and intrinsically motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with deep expertise in Power BI and SQL. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of BI experience and a strong understanding of data modeling, visualization, and analytics. This role is responsible for designing and developing scalable Power BI solutions, writing optimized SQL queries, and transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. The BI Developer will also support QA processes, maintain internal BI documentation, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. A strong foundation in data architecture, performance tuning, and governance is essential.

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, KPIs, and data models that deliver meaningful insights.
  • Build efficient and scalable SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions to support BI solutions.
  • Develop tabular and multidimensional models using DAX and Power Query.
  • Optimize Power BI performance through data model tuning, query folding, and incremental refresh strategies.
  • Perform data validation, QA testing, and troubleshoot data inconsistencies across BI assets.
  • Document data sources, transformation logic, business rules, and report specifications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Support data governance, master data management, and ensure data quality across BI platforms.
  • Provide training and support to business users on Power BI and self-service analytics tools.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve BI processes, tools, and performance.

What we need:

  • Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in Business Intelligence development, with a focus on Power BI and SQL.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries, performance tuning, and database design.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI administration, including workspace management and data gateway configuration.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake cloud data platform a plus.
  • Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and machine learning a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
