The Admissions Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both graduate and undergraduate admissions operations. Key responsibilities include processing applications, entering data into the university’s student information system, and coordinating documents from multiple online portals. This role also involves managing communications via phone and email, handling incoming mail, and overseeing the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) for SHRS. The Admissions Coordinator also reviews daily admissions reports, evaluates prerequisite coursework, and assists with maintaining and uploading student records. Flexibility is essential, as the position includes other duties as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient admissions workflows.
The incumbent must be organized with strong attention to detail, have strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to balance multiple projects, and the capacity to react to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Coordinates the admissions process for applicants to include active correspondence with and visit logistics for prospective students. Participates in recruitment activities and projects.
Processing graduate and undergraduate admissions applications
Data entry in the university student information system
Collecting and associating admissions documents from multiple online portals to applications
Managing admissions-related communications via phone, email, and postal mail
Overseeing the Transfer Evaluation System (TES) for the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS)
Monitoring and analyzing daily admissions activity reports
Assessing applicant eligibility based on program prerequisites
Supporting the processing and electronic filing of academic documentation
Other duties as assigned
Minimal physical effort is required. Periods of standing, packaging of materials, lab set-up etc. Potential long periods of sitting.
