Scope of Role                  

 

This role oversees the transport and logistics of pharmaceutical products on behalf of a leading LifeScience company based in Dublin city Centre, ensuring end-to-end supply chain compliance with global regulatory standards. It serves as a critical interface between internal quality teams and external partners to maintain product integrity and audit readiness.

Key Accountabilities  

 
  • Collaborates with external freight forwarding partners to arrange timely pick-up and export of pharmaceutical products.
  • Manages end-to-end cold chain logistics, ensuring product integrity and compliance with international shipping regulations.
  • Performs accurate and timely SAP transactions for product receipting and export.
  • Ensures all shipment documentation (e.g. , commercial invoices, packing lists, temperature logs) is correctly filed and audit-ready.
  • Partners with quality and external logistics providers to investigate and resolve transport deviations, including temperature
  • Supports root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for logistics-related issues.
  • Applies expertise in pharmaceutical cold chain logistics and Good
  • Monitors temperature-controlled shipments using validated equipment and systems.
  • Ensures all supply chain operations comply with global regulatory standards (FDA, DSCSA, EMA, GDP).
  • Maintains inspection and audit readiness across all logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation of all supply chain processes in alignment with SOPs.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under Data Protection Legislation in addition to all DGF IE policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programme

 Skills / Qualifications:                                                                                                             

       
  • Expected years of experience (Minimum)
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical logistics, particularly in cold chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks (FDA, DSCSA, GDP).
  • Proficiency in SAP and other supply chain management Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

  • 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical logistics, including cold chain management and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
  • Strong working knowledge of global regulatory standards (FDA, DSCSA, EMA) and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP for inventory management, shipment processing, and documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with external freight forwarders and quality teams to resolve transport deviations.
  • Familiarity with implant logistics, including handling, storage, and coordination with clinical teams.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on documentation and audit readiness.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners.
